  • At Toronto Flag we are committed to protecting your privacy, and maintain a general policy of openness about how we collect, use and secure the personal information of individuals who use this website. This Statement reflects the requirements of Canada’s Federal and Provincial privacy legislation as well as our commitment to protecting your personal information.
  • The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about Toronto Flag’s practices relating to the collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal information that may be provided through access to or use of our website, services and publications, or that may otherwise be collected by us. By using our website or submitting information to our website at torontoflag.com (the "site"), you agree to be bound by the following Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, discontinue all use of this site immediately.
  • This Privacy Policy also explains how you can contact us if you have a question about, want to make a change to or want to delete any personal information that Toronto Flag may be maintaining about you. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

  • For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, and in accordance with privacy legislation, "personal information" is generally defined as information about an identifiable individual, or information that allows an individual to be identified (as defined from time to time in applicable privacy legislation).
  • The personal information Toronto Flag may collect about you includes your contact information, including an online name & neighbourhood of residence, zip/postal code, e-mail address and demographic information.
  • In general, we collect, use and disclose personal information so that we can safely operate this Site.
  • From time to time, we may ask you to provide us with more detailed information and we will inform you as to why we are collecting it. It will be entirely up to you as to whether you choose to share this information with us.

A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT CHILDREN

Children (persons under the age of 18) are not eligible to use the site unsupervised and we ask that children do not submit any personal information to us. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use this Site in conjunction with and under the supervision of your parents or guardians.

THE CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Toronto Flag may share personal information with our agents or contractors engaged to assist us in providing the services of this Site (including but not limited to software development, website development and hosting, data processing, document management and office administration) or to carry out one or more of the uses described above. We will not however provide your personal information to any Company advertising its products and services in this Site, or using this site to promote its products and services.

We may also use (but will not disclose) your personal information to promote and market additional goods, services and special offers from affiliates, our sponsors, including by means of direct marketing and us. RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Toronto Flag retains your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected and to comply with applicable laws. When that need has ended, your personal information will be removed from our system and destroyed in a manner that ensures your security.

CONTROL OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

At Toronto Flag, we want you to be able to maintain control over how we use your personal information. You will always have the option to instruct us not to use your name, online name, neighbourhood of residence, e-mail address, postal code, etc. Additionally, e-mail communications will always include an identification of the sender and an "Unsubscribe" option. USER GENERATED CONTENT SOCIAL POLICY (“UGC POLICY”)

If you are a “customer”, “follower” of, or otherwise voluntarily engage with Toronto Flag by emailing, posting, sharing, directly messaging, uploading or otherwise submitting photographs, graphics, videos, messages, feedback, comments or other forms of media or user-generated content (collectively "User Generated Content") on any Toronto Flag website, page, profile, or feed (collectively referred to herein as “Page”) of any social media platform (“Platform”) (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Blog et al.) (collectively referred to herein as "Posts(s)"), or making any personal statement through a Post or otherwise in any media/medium which endorses Toronto Flag products or services (“Endorsement”), this User Generated Content Social Policy (referred to as “UGC Policy”) applies to you. Furthermore, you agree that all parties displayed within the content are made aware of and are in agreement with the submission. If at any time you do not comply with this UGC Policy, Toronto Flag reserves the right to restrict your use of or access to Toronto Flag’s Pages at its sole discretion without prior notice, including any other legal or contractual remedies that may be available. Posts may be removed by Toronto Flag at any time and for any reason.
